Celebrating Dedicated Service and Welcoming New Leadership

As the Outdoor Lab Foundation welcomes a new group of board members, we are also honoring two longtime leaders who have completed their terms of service: John Hamilton and Kristen Meier.

After six years on the Outdoor Lab Foundation Board of Directors, John and Kristen are concluding their service. Both joined the board in 2020, at a time when the pandemic created enormous challenges for students, families, teachers, schools, and Outdoor Lab. Since then, they have helped guide the Foundation through a period of tremendous growth and progress.

Both of John’s children attended Outdoor Lab as sixth-graders, and one later returned as a High School Leader. Kristen attended Outdoor Lab herself, as did both of her children. Her mother, Leslie Bohn, served as a nurse at Mount Blue Sky, and Kristen’s sister was a sixth-grade science teacher. Their connection to Outdoor Lab reflects the program’s unique intergenerational legacy.

We are deeply grateful to John and Kristen for six years of leadership, service, and dedication to our community and the Foundation.
